100 Year old Lobster!

In jurisdictions like Maine, harvesters are required by law to throw back both undersized and oversized lobsters.  The large lobsters are more fertile and help sustain the population.  Also, the meat is tougher.

For everyone else wondering: No the lobster is not dead, he's just old as hell and when you're old moving is hard but he is alive. His eyes legs and even antennae move in this video he is alive.

fun fact: when lobsters get this old they don’t die of “old age” like humans do, their telomeres don’t wear down like humans so they can’t age to death. instead they get so massive (like this distinguished gentleman) that when they molt out of their shell it gets progressively more and more difficult, until they die in the process. that’s why he said he probably has only a couple years left, he’s reaching the limit of manageable size
